A great lover of art, Thomas Emmerling, the man who brought Salvador Dali at the famous Romanian Cantacuzino Castle in Bușteni (in the southern Carpathian Mountains), held at the same sumptuous palace in Prahova Valley an interesting art exhibition of Young Romanian Art. Seven top artists of the new generation (Alexandra Baciu Alexandru Căzănaru, Andreea Floreanu, Bianca Ioniță, Maia Ștefana Oprea, Radu Rodideal and Alexandra Camelia Tătaru) present their works in the exhibition “Colours of Life”, from Saturday, 24 October until December 6, 2015.
I exhibited my series of Zăercs, which created an interesting relation to the architecture and decorations of the rooms, that became almost a scenography for a series of acts and gestures that may never come to life. Here are some photos taken at the opening of the exhibition :
Those who wanted to combine tourism with art could admire inside the Castle Cantacuzino, from summer until the beginning of this month, an extraordinary and unique insight into the surreal world of Salvador Dali. According to local media, the exhibition – event “Salvador Dali – Welcome into my Brain” from the “Cantacuzino Castle” attracted in recent months visitors from many parts of the world. Basically, from July 22 until October 11, over 27,000 people have admired the 200 lithographs by the famous artist, as organizers announced at a press conference attended by mayor Emanoil Savin, Kurt Neuschitzer –owner Cantacuzino Castle and Thomas Emmerling, representative of Salvador Dali signed Collector works. In the next two years, the castle will be the new host of very interesting exhibitions, among which will be found: Pablo Picasso – Que Viva Picaso – The genius of the twentieth century, during the period 11 December 2015 – March 6, 2016, Marc Chagall, from 20 May – July 19, 2016, Vincent van Gogh – first in Romania in the period July 25 to November 4, 2016, Byzantine art treasures – mosaics of Ravenna, between December 9, 2016 – March 5, 2017.
From Saturday and until the winter holidays, the castle and its art exhibition consecrated to young Romanian artists awaits your visit with its doors wide open !
