IN-TRIGÂ : AT HOME EVERYWHERE

Through the In-Trigâ: AT HOME EVERYWHERE video-performance (see The Small In-Trigâ Dictionary) I try to redefine my territory and my identity, assuming a status on the border between public and private, in the context of ongoing social political influences over my personal life. The promenade in which car I carry my zăercs is a propagation of the self in constant movement: between aesthetic and social, between the organic and the artificial, between life and death, between nature and culture, between art and everyday life. The First In-trigâ presents through the form of a funeral march the simplest, most common and recurrent activity in my life: the daily walk with my dog, in the fields near the village where I have my studio. LIFE STILLS #1

       It’s been a very intense week here in the village of Inoteşti, somewhere 100 km above Bucharest. Mothers ran from home leaving their children behind, youngsters drank ţuică to kill their toothache, dogs were frozen dead on the main roads, while I was discovering the realm of the unique and amazingly difficult technique of Watercolour, which I have very rarely approached in the past.

For the last couple of months I’ve been gathering stuff.
All kinds of stuff. Found, discarded, used, household electronics,  whatever life cannot digest and whatever bits of cardboard my stove doesn’t need to light the fire.

BUCHAREST ROADBLOCK

The project“Bucharest, Roadblock” was realised in 2010-2011 during my studies at l’ecole d’art de Grenoble, within the workshop entitled «Cosmetique et politique» (coordinators: Abdelkader Damani, Slimane Rais).

It had as a starting point the travel route between my usual place of residence and other places I usually frequented during the time when I still lived Bucharest, my home town. While traveling in cities across the world, I realised that this route constantly haunted me. Again it happened that year in Grenoble. Continue reading
